1.Reject :

Yalnız transitive (obyekt tələb edir)

a) Bir şeyi qəbul etməmək, inanmağı rədd etmək, razılaşmamaq:

Sarah rejected her brother’s offer of help.

b) İş, kurs, təhsil və s. üçün birini seçməmək :

It’s obvious why his application was rejected.

c) Keyffiyyət səbəbilə məhsulu atmaq :

If inspectors find a defective can, the batch is rejected

d) Birinə sevgi və ya münasibət göstərməyi rədd etmək :

Children feel abandoned or rejected if they don’t see their parents regularly.

2. Refuse :

İntransitive

a) Səndən etmək istənən şeyi rədd etmək

Formal mənada kibar olmayan şəkildə dəvət olunan yerə, təklif olunan bir şeyə, etməni istədikləri şeyə yox demək

1. Deny :

Deny və Refute tam fərqli anlamdadırlar bu mənada.

Transitive 

a) Bir şeyə inanmamaq (doğru olduğuna)

I’ve never denied that there is a housing problem.

Qrammatika :

Deny doing :

She denied taking the money.

b) bir şeyə sahib olmağa və ya etməyə icazə verməmək :

Some landowners deny access to the countryside.

She could deny her son nothing

c) Hiss etdiyin şeyi qəbul etməmək, emosialarını rədd etmək

2. Refute :

Transitive

Bir şeyi yalanlamaq və ya çürütmək :

3. Confute:

Birini və ya bir argumentin səhv olduğunu isbat etmək

4. Rebut :

Sizə qarşı ifadə və ya iddianı çürütmək/ əksini isbat etmək:
